Password Saver stores your passwords cross-platform in an encrypted database. You can synchronise your database with multiple computers and even mobile devices. Password Saver is search-based, whereas traditional password managers are usually tree-based. A typical password lookup takes less than four seconds.
Password Saver was born out of the need for a good password manager that works cross-platform. I wanted it to be fast, really, really fast. That's why I chose for a different approach than traditional password managers. Password Saver is search-based. This means that all your passwords are stored in a random order. Every passwords has an assigned key. This key can be any text, and is used to retrieve your password. When you search, the right result is often found after typing only a few characters of the key. Just hit return, and the password is copied to the clipboard and optionally Password Saver closes itself. This can be done within seconds. There is no need to take your hands off your keyboard to move the mouse, all lookups can be performed with the keyboard.
Except for just storing passwords for you, Password Saver can also generate passwords. Password Saver features a powerful, fully customisable password generator. When you manage your passwords with Password Saver you don't need to remember all passwords yourself. This allows for really long and complex, random passwords. Passwords like ‘KùSDt45(úx]ù,a4Öò#CI5eCoËorA:5Ó’ are virtually impossible to guess.
